This past weekend was very eventful. Saturday Joeys Bike Shop was invited to attend the Randolph County Healthy Living Expo. We took a couple bikes, some helmets and our knowledge of bike fit. We showed some folks how a bike should fit and demonstrated how to properly wear and adjust a helmet. It was a very rewarding experience.
Saturday evening Mandi, I and our friend Ashlon went a nice long ride and enjoyed the nice warm temps. We headed out Pheasant Mountain we have been working on figuring out all the FS roads and were the go or don't go, which is usually the case.
Sunday was another long day in saddle this time with John. We did some exploring Sunday and was rewarded with the discovery of a new trail. Were is it at? I can't tell you yet its secret. We did spot some triliums. Triliums are very exotic, for this area anyway, spring flower.
Now everybody quit wasting time on the internet and go ride your BIKE!

Sunday was amazing. 70 degrees! Sunny! Mandi and I decided to head to Bickles Knob via the Bakers Sods trail. Are intentions were to ride all day and dig a bunch of ramps. We ended up with a nice solid 4 hour ride, 40 miles, and a couple big bags of ramps. What a great day. If anyone out there is looking for ramps the little green stinkers are carpeting the ground up on Bickles.

Introducing the one and only bike you will ever need, the KHS Urban Xtreme. Pavement, dirt, ice, snow, it can handle it all. Mandi and I each got one a few weeks ago. The Urban X comes equipped with big fat nice rolling 28c tires with enough room for fenders. Want to ride off road, through on some knobbies, this bike can handle everything. Want one, get this they are only $819. What a deal!!! I love mine.

Sunday Mandi, John and I went out to survey the damage on the local Shingletree trail system. We were pleasantly surprised to see that there was only onelarge tree down on Pheasant Mountain trail that we could not move. There were lots of sticks and tree tops that we efficently and dutifully cleared from the trails. So get out there and ride them!

Sunday Mandi and I did our annual Super Bowl Sunday ride. It was a sloppy but warm 5 hour jaunt. There was lots of snow, slush, ice and mud but also lots of SUN to temper the nastiness.
